  • Gvperformance needs a 3.8l car for true dual testing

I am looking for someone that is local to Allendale, MI that wants a true dual exhaust on their 3.8l v6 fbody. I am looking to make a jig for a true dual kit and need a test car for fitment purposes. Of course the test car would get a big discount on the kit for allowing me to borrow it.

    Terms:

    1. Camaro/Firebird must have stock 3.8l V6 engine and be in good working order. Bolt-ons should be mentioned when applying, prefer automatic transmission but may take a manual.
    2. Need a car with pacesetter headers
    3. Must be somewhat local to Allendale, MI
    4. Will need to leave the car for up to 2 weeks for fitment/design as well as dyno time before and after.
    5. Must not be from an emissions testing area due to cat. conv. being eliminated and o2 sensor eliminated.

Looking for early spring to do this as most cars are now in storage anyways. Please contact me if interested via PM and please let me know what year/make/model car you have as well as current mods, trans and gearing. Thanks

I wish this would apply to me because I heard that true duals sound amazing. esp that youtube vid of one. Only thing that keeps me from doing this is the fact that I don't have headers and I'm not in allendale but could drop it off. o well

ordered parts today. Will have them in the morning I don't have a car but decided to order stuff anyways. Might just use mine for fitment trials and then test fit once more on another car to make sure

If it wasn't so far, I'd be up for it, but the Vegas trip kinda grounded me a bit. Bump for a good cause though.

well worked on the TD kit some today, using 2.5" piping and running it along the stockish location on the passenger side to tuck it up and out of the way to maximize ground clearance. I am happy with it so far. Here is the eye candy.

                            1. Xpipe
                            2. Shot of the piping and xpipe
                            3. Pipes off the headers with xpipe next to my current pacesetter ypipe, cutout, and cat. converter
                            4. Magnaflow 4" SS mufflers and the Twister mufflers, trying each and seeing what sounds the best

Is it just me???.... But I think true dual exhaust shouldn't have a X pipe it because it changes the tone quite a bit.
