You know, if might not be broke...mine got stuck in the up position, I just hit the position "button" and it worked it's way back to the start position and worked fine afterwards...

what "position button"? We messed with it for a good 15 minutes... it's toast, dude.

There's a switch where it grabs the striker. But who knows, it could be dead too. Mine was just stuck. Pressed the button and it returned where it to where it was supposed to be and worked fine.

Yeah, we tried doing that with a screwdriver, and also by slamming the hatch twice....not too hard, though. I tried on saturday, too - got nothin'

I just bought that motor off ebay $25, not too bad. Hopefully it comes in quickly so I can put it in before I take my car to the upholstery dude.
