LOL!! Two tiny turbos!! I guarantee you'll be seeing 600+ whp GT-R's in the not so distant future. If you think it's not fair then bolt two superchargers onto the ZR1...oh yeah, you can't...

Still, 124hp/liter for the GT-R vs. 100/liter for the ZR1 says it all for me. And it's 20k+ less...

Boost for boost on the same displacement, a turbo will always make more power....

        your just uneducated about them

i had a t3 60 trim on a saturn in highschool a dinky 1.9 DOHC i had full boost before 3k more like 2500 it would be pointless to have it any sooner and just smoke the tires

        lag isnt always bad

superchargers are supposed to make more power down low through the whole range.. with a very flat curve.
turbo has the minor lag or whatever you call it, which can be worked around as mentioned, but makes alot more power upper rpm's. they pull like crazy at highway speeds

I have heard this, but again if the turbo is sized correctly with the proper A/R ratio's the power delivery is nearly seamless and instant (like pacefabricating said). With room to run my car pulls very well; last week I was tuning on the highway and made several 65 to 145 mph 5th gear pulls. Now that was fun

before even thinking of FI what kind of mods do you have on the car already? It takes supporting mods to benefit and run the FI to its full potential

I thought I had the fueling problem resolved but it is back again. I ordered a whole new set up Monday but unless it shows up tomorrow I'm out for Saturday. I though about running my SRT4 before I install my stage 3 turbo, but I don't think the clutch will make it through the day.

lets keep the discussion on topic guys. Question in hand is about a 3.8l fbody, not SRTs and Cobalts...

i guess i have alot to think about huh. anyway i am heading up north to Roscommon with my husband and a friend i will make sure to discuss everything that all of you mentioned with my husband. and Derek i will give your kit alot of thought. i don't have alot of cash to dish out right yet because im looking for a place to move to ( living with the in laws sucks) and my 5 month old son is a handful lol but for the right things i think i can squeak by with spending some. i will be back late Sunday nite so if anyone has anything else they want to add just let me know. i will get a reply out sometime Monday afternoon. thanks alot for the input.

Turbos and superchargers are a great mod, but no offense ill take N/A power over forced induction anyday.
                            Boosted AND all wheel drive.

have you ever even done forced induction? believe me it speaks for itself.. and in most cases probably easier to install. I know with our kit it could be installed in a weekend now that it is all fabricated. Just by lookin at joels cam swap looks like that takes a bit longer for less power.. (if FI were done on the same motor) yes yes its pricier..

Thats true. Idk i just like the loud grunt of a N/A motor. And i hate that woosh from the blowoff.
