I have been thinking about t-tops since i got the car, back in 2001. But sitting in the Bird with t-tops sealed the deal.

I guess it is a goos thing I didn't sit in a vert, otherwise I may have already been out there with a Sawzall.

I think the easiest part is going to be the cutting and trimming. My biggest challenge will be fiberglassing certain areas back in. I will probable be able to get the main part of the conversion done in a day, but fiberglassing and having the roof repainted is what is going to take the most time.

Looks like the didn't do half bad of a job. I'd rather have ttops though.

I would prefer not to spend more than $350-$400.

I need everything required for a t-top conversion:

            T-Top Glass
            T-Top Brackets
            A-Pillar plastic pieces
            Weather stripping
            Headliner
            Roof Panel
            Nuts
            Bolts
            Seals
            Rear Bracket Covers
            Screws
T-Top Retaining bracket and bolt for trunk
            T-Top Center Bar and screws
            ect...

            Edit: Revised with new wishes.

Looking to make the purchase this weekend cash in hand.

I am wanting to get the t-tops finish before my next planed car show.

Thanks for keeping your eyes open Ben.

I never thought it would be this hard to find these parts. I thought for sure that with all the cars people have been parting out recently that someone would want to sell there t-top parts.

T-top kits tend to pop up every once and a while and the sell pretty quickly which makes it difficult. Plus I don't know how hard it is to remove that stuff from the car before they junk it. Seems like a lot of kits pop up at the beginning of the spring /summer for some reason. I know I saw a bird being parted out somewhere. Let me try and find it. I think it was on Firebirdv6.com but its not loading right now. I was surprised they would part out such a clean nice car but the guy wants something different I guess...

I have seen a few myself to, but most of them are way out of state. I world prefer somthing here in MI with the gas prices as high as they are.

Hopefully Adam's friend contacts me soon. I wouldn't even mind doing the disaccemblly myself.

Looks like i may have to go with a kit i found on ebay. More expensive than i have seen in the past but looks like I won't be able to get it locally.

Thanks for all the help guys.

I have all the parts for the conversion now and I will be starting it this weekend. I will make sure that i take lots of pics.

For those of you that have done this conversion already. How did you make the cut areas in all 4 corners look stock? Did you use fiberglass or did you have a metal filler piece welded in?
