Mine bounces whenever I am going down the road. I really don't need to give the cops any reason to pull me over, I highly doubt that I would get a repair and report when my speedo decides not to read right.

What all do you still need to swap it?

The bouncing is due to the speedometer cable. You have to lube it. Mine bounces at low speeds, or when it would get really cold, the speedo cable would disengage from the speedometer and the needle would just sit and bounce everywhere.

Tis not the gauge - but the cable.

I thought that too, and if that is the case then oh well, I wanted a 145mph speedo anyways, plus I would like to have a working trip odemeter. The thing is I can tap on the speedo whern the car is not running and it will move still, Not alot but it will move to the position it is suposed to be at when the car is turned off.

I still need the rest of the guages because you can tap on them and they move/ jump. I am going to check the wiring to them as well. My temp guage doesn't work. I can move the needle to wherever I want it to be and it stays there until I turn the car off. The fuel guage doesn't work. Either the sender is bad, there is an open in the wire somewhere or the guage itself is bad. I would like new guages because I know these have been tampered with.

I already bought a new speedometer on ebay last night anyway for $60.00

Yeah, the 145-mph speedometer is a nice upgrade anyways.

Just lube up the speedo cable and it'll be better.

The trip odometer not working is due to the breakage of the J-clips - there's a simple fix on TGO, I did it to my speedometer - the trip works, and the odometer doesn't (it's nowhere near accurate anymore, it used to be, before it stuck at 99,990.)
