  • Canon CanoScan 8800F - Free to Good MiFBody Home

Highly-rated ("Excellent" per PC Magazine) flatbed scanner, introduced in 2008, connects with USB, 4800 pixels-per-inch resolution, can scan film and slides, works with both Mac and PC. Was using this scanner with the latest Mac OS X Mountain Lion operating system, will work with Win7 and should work with Win8 as well.

Very lightly used in a non-smoking home environment. Decided to replace my Canon i960 color inkjet printer with something better, and bought a multi-function machine to create more space for displaying diecasts!

The printer is available for free too -- the Canon i960 was introduced in 2003, comes with spare ink cartidges, rated "Very Good" by CNet.

Come and get 'em, or else they're just going to the electronics recycling center. This scanner goes for between $20 and $90 on eBay. I just don't have time or patience to be bothered with it.

LOL! Rolo, you make it sound like I'm halfway across the state!

I'm up for a road trip to drop these things off, or we can ask B to tell us when he's next headed to Grand Blanc, and maybe he can head home via I-69. If you want them, bud, their yours! I'd be glad to see them go to good use!

Um, I suppose it would, although I would not give any guarantee on the weight-bearing qualities of the glass platen! You may have some interesting explaining to do at your local emergency room!

How about the Meijer gas station just north of Oxford? I've always wanted to drive past the factory that made my hockey goalie equipment, so why not now?

I'm pretty sure I'm free after work every night this week, just let me know what night works out best for you. I normally leave Warren about 5:30, but I can flex my hours earlier if you need to get things done sooner.
