Stock V8 tire size is 245/50/16 which is a 25.5" tire. They 245/45/16's are a 24.5" tire. Thats the only difference.

To my knowledge V8s with 16s for 245 50 16s and V6 got 235 55 16 unless you got steelies.

Then there must be a difference between stock tire sizes for the LT1 & LS1 cars. My car came with (& is recommended by GM) the 245/45 r16. All the LT1 cars that I've seen have that size on the stock rims .... think we're all right, just depends on the engine & year
