Need a 350 crank

looking for a 350 crank for sbc, in good condition and usable, i would like to avoid getting it turned if all possible. it doesn't have to be a top dollar one, because in all honesty i dont feel like spending a but load on one. doesn't even have to be new. id prefer a good used one

plans are to drop it in a 1970 307, if i add a 350 crank itll put it to 328 or 333 with .030 overbore. i honestly dont know if a 1 or 2 piece matters? the one that came out was a 1 piece. and would an lt1 crank work either?

You'll need a 2 piece unless you do a conversion to the rear main.

then i need a 2 piece crank. what exactly makes it a 2 piece?

The type of seal that goes on the back.
The LT1 has a retainer similar to that pic that seals the rear main where as the older blocks have 2 pieces to seal them off.

hmmm i did not know that. so i need a 2 piece. and ive heard alot about the 1 piece blowing out on 4th gens. my friends had 2 of them and theyve both gone bad. but i also dont know his driving habits

Yes, you will need a 2 piece unless you want to convert it.

The 1 piece is very dependable but like anything once you get enough miles on it, it will go bad.
I have done several 2 piece motors with 150,000 on them and the rear main was just fine.

Damn man I just sold two of these one last year for 15$ cuz i wanted it gone and the other one for 150$ only thing I got left is set up for a 383 with pistons and rings and bearing but I would want 900$ or best offer

measure the journal. they changed from 2.30 to 2.45 right around then

ill have to do that on monday when i get to school. because thats where its being taken apart at the moment, then i need to find a place to dip it so it gets cleaned. then i can do the rest at shop and home
