When my Dad bought the 454 truck block for the Monte Carlo back in '96, he paid $650, but it had a LOT more miles than this one. Definitely a smoking deal here. If I had the cash, I'd pick it up myself.

Also, FWIW, there's a guy on LS1Tech selling a T56 that's setup for a BBC for like $1200 IIRC. . . That would be a BADASS engine/tranny combo for any car.

sold one with 56k on the clock with a sm465/np205 totally rebuilt trans/t-case with ford 32 spline output. guy got a smoking deal and had a shit eatin' grin the whole time. I have the other one I still, 1987 38k mile TBI 454, 700$, I'll be pulling both motors this weekend if someone wants to pick up the second motor. for 900 i'll include the 4x4 th400/np205.

I would be VERY interested in trading the 38k mile TBI 454 complete motor for a 5.3 or 6.0 complete.

We built our 4 bolt main 454 BBC up to about 675hp at the crank, they are potent engines when built right. Heck, you'd have to build it to make big power just to justify the whole 3-5mpg you'll get with it. lol
