Hate to do this but,it needs to be done..Last September I took Steve and his dad my 4l60e trans to be rebuilt, long story short,I had to pull it back out of the car after only 100 miles because something was not right..turns out that tolerances were way off, washers and parts were missing, and to top it off I paid for a corvette servo and did not get the part I paid for.He told me his dad was in a bad mood and he didnt want to bother him,so he gave me his "corvette servo",well it was a stock servo..So with that being said.I am out a whole lot of money, parts, and time.I gave Steve a chance to make this right and have not heard from him..So somebody at the least owes me the 50.00 I paid for a servo I did not receive.

In his last for sale thread I stated my experience with him and shortly there after the thread was deleted. Thats all I am going to say on that topic.
Sorry you had to learn the hard way.

its so easy for a transmission guy to take someone for a ride. people are to nervouse to open a trans to see if things are new or the parts they requested are in it. For years guy have been rebuilding tranmissions and doing things like replaceing only the bad cutches and bands and reinstalling the used ones that look good. or telling you they installed the billet shaft you requested charging you for it then using the old one and keeping the billet one for them selvs. i know of about 5 shops that are that way. and alot of people who do it out of a garage. its hard to find a trans guy you can trust.Last edited by masterfab; June 14th, 2011, 05:50 PM.

Guys, let's not turn this thread into a "bash Steve" thread. This is for Mike to air his grievance with Steve, leave it at that. Honestly these threads hardly solve anything at all and I really cringe at the idea of the thread being posted anyway... Unless it's a sponsor or a company, usually these just don't do anything except hurt feelings.- Brian Meissen

A guy got 100 percent screwed over by a member on here; money was unrightfully taken, and your worried about hurt feelings? Are we in grade school? This crap needs to be called out so that others don't get screwed and the frauds get what they deserve..Originally posted by meissen View PostGuys, let's not turn this thread into a "bash Steve" thread. Maybe if people would hear both sides of the story instead of only listening to one, they'd come up with a better assessment of the situation. Fact of the matter is, I always see a lot of people jumping down Steve's throat and not always with due cause. Like the thread that was deleted at Steve's request, he stated they were Corvette rims and instantly someone jumped down his throat about not giving enough information. If said person would have read the first post, he would've had all the info he needed but due to a previous experience he had with Steve he used that thread to slander Steve. Steve sent me this in a PM -- I've paraphrased parts to take out the cussing or name calling.Originally posted by Derek View PostA guy got 100 percent screwed over by a member on here; money was unrightfully taken, and your worried about hurt feelings? Originally posted by Kwazrollinz28I sold him in fact a Corvette servo and no i never charged him 50 dollars, i dont know where he's getting that, And i only charged him for the parts i bought to replace in the trans, He in fact paid MY friend NOT ME for the labor.
I did not finish the trans, All i did was modify his Servo, and all my dad did was install clutches, never finished them because mike was a hawk stalking a mouse and wouldn't leave me dad alone. so my dad said **** it and take all your shit and be done, i asked a friend to finish his trans because i felt bad, I had him finish it and he gave my friend 100 dollars, and said i'll bring more, Never did, then he called to tune his car, Which i did and only got 10 dollars in gas which cost me 12 to get there.
that being said, next i was selling a orange camaro, i knew nothing about, I only wanted 1500 for it, was selling for someone else, he said i played dumb and knew the problem in the car. No i knew nothing about it was told it was a rod knock, ended up being bad injectors, head gasket, and Exhaust leak. Replaced the motor and sold the car.
Im having a kid today and don't need the stress, God help me i wish i had 50 to give mike, but i had to loan my dad money and i have 5 dollars to my name to last me and my gf and now my kid till friday.
So do me a favor and just turn off my account. Last time i tried selling my car and only asked for a price all i got was made fun of.
I don't want to be on a forum like this anymore. Thanks
Don't get me wrong - I'm not taking either side of the story, just saying there's usually 2 sides of the story and I don't honestly think Steve would be the type to just rip someone off. Maybe that's just me.

Brian I didn't want bring up that topic but I feel as if you are pointing the finger at me. To defend myself the title of his for sale thread had the words "camaro, SS, wheels". The original post claimed all four wheels to be 17x11 w/ SUMOTMO tires 275/40 and 315/35 $1000. That right there didn't make sense as 4th gen Camaro SS's had 17x9s and Corvettes had 17x9.5 and 17x11sOriginally posted by meissen View Post. While examinging the pictures I noticed two of the wheels looked more narrow and upon further investigation Steve revised the description to say two were 9.5s. Easy honest mistake. He claimed they were OEM which is very possible but he did NOT describe them as Corvettes ZR1 wheels once so it made me question if they were OEM or not. A simple picture of the GM raised boss or some information from the back of the wheel would have confirmed everything.
***I asked these questions incase some 18 year old came and gave him cash thinking these are a good buy only to later learn he got screwed and paid $800-$1000 for some wheels that cost $400 new***
I am offended you are accussing me that I didn't read the original post entirely. I read the for sale thread and I believe two people "thanked" me for the questions I brought up. Another forum member agreed I was not out of line in my respsonces when I pondered why the thread was deleted. I don't like to cause drama and make enemies, I simply wanted to protect others from possibly being tricked like Mike has been.
Slander would be something that would be false, I am not creative enough to make up lies. I would not buy a car from him but that is another story.

Sorry Brian, by the time I had saw it he must have edited it because at one point it did say corvette rims. My mistake, sorry for offending you.- Brian Meissen
