I was looking at a 08 non turbo earlier today with 80k for $2900. But a turbo isnt really worth 7k to me. How low can you get maybe 5k?

wow, this might be a first, someone actually offering me less than half of asking price.. I know it isn't worth that to you, but the value of the car is much higher than that, even in "fair" condition KBB lists my car at $8500, which is their lowest condition rating of the car, as tempting as the offer is, I may have to pass on the 5k. thanks.

Well his CL ad does say OR BEST OFFER... go to the dealer I bet they would only give you 3-5 for it and then try selling it for 12k

looks like your going to half to hold out that one high school kid looking for a turbo car.

edit: here are some examples, your mileage is a bit high compared to others cars in the same market

title rebuilt but that's nothing to be afraid of, it all has to past state inspection to factory standards.

But hold out you never know who or what comes your way with a trade or cash money

lol and that definitely isn't the best offer I've gotten so far, 8200 was.. and I'm looking for a bit more than that. its a good car, and I am really in no rush to sell, so holding out for someone who is looking for a good turbo car will be worth my while.

Apparently cars have appreciated over the past 3 years and i havent been paying attention. Its kind of odd really. Very very few times throughout history where you can get away with selling a car for the same price as it was 3 years ago. Good luck!

The differences between my car and those two cars are that mine has never been modified and doesn't have all the problems those other cars have, and I'm sorry, but a rebuilt title will scare plenty of people away. my mileage is a little high, but is still a solid car. I threw it up for 11k originally so that people would negotiate down, but it was set a little to high, I dropped to 10.5 and now I'm getting some hits on it. I'm not expecting 10.5 out of it, but I don't want to shoot myself in the foot with a really low offer either.

I don't think your price is that far off. There is ZERO comparison to ANY other Cobalt to these Cobalts. It is simply not just a turbo difference from other Cobalts. I paid around $15k for mine about 2 years ago (2008 and it had around 50k miles IIRC)

Not a bad price for an awesome car, you really have to drive one of these and your will appreciate all it has to offer over a standard Cobalt or even the older Supercharged styles, no comparison!

Thanks, I think people are getting this car confused with the S/C model and seeing how much those go for, the Turbo has held its value pretty well over the years. Obviously my car isn't perfect, but I'm also willing to negotiate and I don't expect a perfect car price out of it either.
