SOLD!!!
I have a '64 Vespa up for sale, obtained on a trade last year. Scooter runs great, fires up quickly, and hauls ass. Here are the specs I was given - I am not really able to confirm or deny what it is exactly, but I can tell you it does run and drive great. I have title to the bike so it'd be a nice clean transaction. I believe (and the PO verified with the person he bought it from) this is a Scooterworks (out of Chicago) rebuild. There's a tag in the glove box with an 11/06 date on it.
I'm looking for $1700 obo on it.
Specs:
1964 Vespa 125 (now kitted with big bore kit)
180cc big bore kit (according to previous owner - I have no way of proving it other than it hauls ass)
4 speed manual
8 inch wheels
Previous owner replaced a bunch of parts last year, they basically have no miles on them:
- new cables
- rebuilt carb
- new fuel pick up
I have spare parts for it - pretty much an extra of every cable, a speedo cable, extra taillight, extra engine case, Haynes manual - see pic for extras.
The bad:
- Has some dings/scrapes/light surface rust. I actually kind of dig it, gives it patina. I honestly don't consider this a negative
- Speedo isn't functional. I verified the speedo itself works...there's no cable run to the front hub. Needs cable run and it *should* be good to go.
- Electrics (ancillary - lights/horn) don't seem to be working. Wiring is there, master switch looks a little old and needs to be cleaned up or replaced. They are <$50 on flebay.
