  • selling my 95 z 6 speed

so, ive decided i want to sell my car, but im not really sure what to ask, because im so used to using cars till i junk them, its not really in the greatest condition, needs an engine rebuild. it drives but it is misfiring alot now. i would do it but i just want better fuel milage so i want to get a newer cruze or something. its black with t-56 trans works great, squeaking noise in the front left wheel area, havent quite figured that one out yet. it has a harwood 4" cowl hood. and pretty decent tires on the salad shooter rims. has a few dings from people hitting it, but other then that it doesnt look to bad. let me know what i should ask for it or maybe if you want to buy it shoot me an offer. o yea and dont mind the mess, its to cold to go to the carwash lol

EDIT : video of engine running is here https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/1...7/albums/posts20130225_165230.jpg20130225_165236.jpg20130225_165243.jpg20130225_165250.jpg20130225_165257.jpg20130225_165312.jpg20130225_165322.jpg20130225_165336.jpg20130225_165759.jpg

are you able to fix some of the little things?

Your going to lose out on some $$ if the motor doesnt idle/run right.

Definitely need to take NEW pictures. Alot of them to try and accurately determine an amount. Pics of the scuffs,dings..underbody would help. Any electrical problems, leaks of any kind, interior condition, oxidized paint, etc etc

Are you sure the motor needs a rebuild? Or just maybe an opti and a tune up?

The car isnt in horrible shape. But there is something deff mechanically wrong with it when i heard it run when i got a few things from when he parted out another car.

Did it sound like something internal? Or maybe just a tune up or fuel issue?

When I bought my trans am, It wasn't running right. it would idle okay, but would bog out and stall under load/acceleration. Replaced the water pump and thought maybe it was the opti. Held out on the opti since i didn't have $400 for a Delco one. Turned out it was the MAF. The honeycomb screen was damaged. Had another one, swapped it out and ran like a champ! Not sure what your symptoms are, but maybe that'll help?

Yeah, like i said briefly was that it would idle okay (hiccup and sputter every once and a while) at idle, and would bog out or even stall under acceleration. Such as taking off in first gear. unplugged the MAF and ran it in speed density mode and it ran a lot better. Not perfect but a lot better. Put in the one I had on hand and the car fired right up! I never realized how fragile/finicky/sensitive a MAF sensor was. Learned my lesson lol.

Wanna know how to ruin a MAF? Stick you finger in there and rub it on the filament.

alright pics are up, i wish it was something simple to fix, but im pretty sure the camshaft is grooved on one of the cylinders, so that might need replacing, it doesnt die when i drive (cept that one time when i ran out of gas lol) but it does sputter
