Just and FYI..careful with those remington 700's. Nice rifle for sure, but they are known to take off limbs.

Sounds like somebody has been tattooed by a scope in the past

I'm not worried about the recoil. If I go .243, recoil energy of a 100gr bullet is roughly 3 times that of a 55gr .223 Remington round. .308 at 150gr is about 5 times. None of them are anywhere near the punch of my Remington 870 with heavyass slugs. Thank you for the warning though.

Now back to selling my car!

I love my SPS Tactical .308.

I would highly recommend it. With no mods right out of the box I can hit a dime sized group at 100 yards.

No not that. . Round could discharge from the rifle. Even when you touch the bolt/move the safety(with finger off trigger). Not all of them are effected, but its well known about the 700's. People have died and shot their leg off.

big deal with the trigger mechanism.

Just passing along the warning so you do not end up in another remington statistic.

The deal with the trigger is why they are so accurate. The shear breaking point is so fine that the designer told Remington that this could happen and he had the fix for it. This was deemed to costly to Remington so they just produced it. The problem has been fix now, need to watch out for Pre 74 if I recall. Also a lot of this is from people being idiots like pointing the firearm in an unsafe direction.

Yea was fixed in like 2008. Doesn't mean if he traded a part he would get one that has the right components. (since he didn't know about it I am assuming?)

              Now you know Andy
