  • WANTED: Near peferect show quality 3rd Generation Camaro

As the title says it I am looking for a VERY clean show quality 3rd Generation Camaro. I am helping my uncle on his search for a Camaro Z28 or Iroc Z. I know they are a "hard to find" especially around Michigan, however I know some exist and we are willing to travel pretty much anywhere around the USA for the right deal. Please be considerate of what I am asking for and if you don't think its show worth or needs work we would not be interested. We are looking for something mechanically sound and close to original (will look into some lightly modded cars) and not beat up.

Mainly what we are looking for in a Camaro
Z28 or Iroc (Might go for the right RS)
Must be T-Top or Convertible (preferred)
    305 TPI/5spd or 350TPI/Auto
    Low Miles
    Prefer power options (windows/locks)
Needs nothing or VERY little & ready to drive anywheres.
Again CLEAN RUST FREE! Show quality.

Willing to negotiate on the price will pay more if its clean!

If he's bound and determined on a 350 then it's Gunna be auto if it's original.

Dont let anyone tell you different but thirdgens with 350s only came with autos as the t5 wasn't rated for the torque.

I would just keep that in mind on your quest.

Good luck tho!!! Make sure you post pics if he finds one.

Really? I thought they made a handful of them with a 350tpi/T5? Interesting....updating my wanted ad. Thanks!

To further complicate things, you will not find an original 350 'vert anywhere...did not make them.

There was one year (87 or 88) where they did make a very small (and I do mean very small...maybe a couple hundred, if that) handful of 350s with a manual trans, but most (if not all) were hardtops.

I can remember exactly one IROC that claimed it was a 350 with a manual trans and T-tops, but it had no documentation.

Just FYI that first one is not MINT or near perfect, its been for sale for a while now and I looked at it when I was looking for my 92 last summer.

The B4C car is really nice, and clean I would look more into that one as those cars will always be worth a few more $$ then a regular run of the mill 3rd gen.

Look into getting something rare, like a B4C car.

not trying to be rude or anything but. my car was a GM exec. order its an 85 it came with a 350 motor 700r4 and the 145mph gauge cluster. im the 2nd owner and the car was unmolested. everyone has to remeber these GM ordering options where out there back then. the gauge cluster was used in most police cars. and is a easy GM order to have done.
