Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

a friend of mine is lookin for an f-body. I came across this last night n wanted some insight on what u guys thought about it. Hes only lookin to spend right around 4500 n really wanted a lt1 6 speed but its hard to pass on an auto ls1. Thanks in advance for any opinions!
highly doubt it was a ws6 but few easy ways to tell if it ever was..
door panel will say 17 inch rims
lower airbox will be larger
and well the hood matches the cars paint to good... looks like the hood car came with (a ws6 is the hood thats on my car in signature )
looks like it has ws6 exhaust tips though but alot of people get those
but 4500 for a ls1 car is a fair deal as long as it has good oil pressure and damage isnt to bad.. you can get a high rise hatch fairly cheap will look alot better on that car
talk him down to $3800-3900 if u can
dont buy the first thing u see ether its hard not to but check your options.
"buy what he truely likes though no point of buying something he would be unhappy with" you can always work your way up though

if he wants a 6speed, wait out for a good deal on it. if you have your heart set on something, search for it till you find it. be willing to travel a bit to get a good deal too. i found my 98 z28 6 spd with full bolt ons, z06 wheels, new tires, custom paint etc for 5800. thats a pretty good deal. i'd pass on that car. why is the hatch white? seems like it would say in the VIN if its a ws6 or not... i could be wrong tho.

Don't count on the SPID sticker being there with the RPO code, that door may have been replaced. Only reason I say that is because the car is pretty cheap, it already has a replacement deck lid on it and a damaged rear quarter, and it has one tan door panel in a black interior car that has no rips in it.
Things that make you go "Hmmmm...."
It may be just a headlong jump to a conclusion, but just approach the car with caution and look for evidence of repaint, and previously-repaired collision damage

2500 for a ls1 bad ass deal if u get it for that u can always part it out and profit alot =D or just flip it for more good luck man but dont buy something ur unhappy with also something u need is more practical =D

There is a lot wrong with this car. 1 not correct ws6 hood, wrong hatch, damage to rear quarter, wrong door panel, and engine swaped into car. 96 was still LT1 engine and ws6 should be cold air intake. The only thing that seems WS6 is the sticker on rear, if its there.
I peronally would not give him 2500 for it. It looks like a stock formula, that needs a lot of body work.

Where do you see anything about 96 or a LT1 engine?
