Man on the moon - fall of the Berlin wall - first black president - Atom Bomb = Historical Significance
Dealer orders 69 427 camaros that he cant sell = No historical significance
meh, those are just points in history to remember. in fact, much like the speed limit, taking note of said events is merely a suggestion. zl1, however, is not just a special edition camaro, rather a relic to st. ls1 and the car gods. how did you miss that information?

Im sorry but Ive got to agree with this I wouldn't consider that car being that special. Theres too many "Special" 4th gens I think in general it takes away from all of them.In the end there all just cars with a few bolt-ons added on nothing major and very easy to clone. A 1969 ZL1 Corvette is special and theres only two of them both are valued over a million. Also you would have a hard time cloneing one since a 69 ZL1 427 engine isnt easy to find in the first place. http://www.autofacts.ca/classics/FAPC/ZL1Corvette.htm

lol you guys crack me up. I wish we could jump to the future so y'all can eat your words. A 1969 ZL1 Corvette is special but a 2002 ZL1 Camaro isn't because they made 1 more of them? They only made 3 ZL1s guys... and one of them is owned by Chevrolet in their museum. That only leaves 2 on the market to the public.

Not quite Brian They built 69 2002 camaro ZL1's, to commemorate the 69 1969 camaro ZL1's built . (I know you this or did you forget about the wonderful 1)

All 69 cars were B4C coupes with 6-speed manual transmissions except for 2 converted to automatic. Built in March 2002 Roll cages were installed in 28 cars. Three prototypes were: #1-Chevrolet Motor Division #2-Berger Chevrolet and #3-Helen Gibb. Car #1 was built to commemorate Fred Gibbs original ZL1 drag car. Car #69 was a special Phase 4 SR427 built to honor Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins and his ZL1 drag car. 1969 style houndstooth interior was made available and Penske Shocks with 3 different valving options were also available. The 2002 ZL1 was also made available with Z06 style wheels standard or optional Crager SS or Fiske wheels.

Ah - I was going off of what the Gibbs' billboard said. So this is your 1 in 3 chance of buying a ZL1 PROTOTYPE. Still - uber rare.

What a waste of human potential. Waste of engineering.

What is the 2002 a prototype of? I am sorry i dont see it as a prototype, i see it as one of the very first "special edition" cars. Everything that is done to that car is a direct factory part that bolts right up and nothing needs to be tested.

                              a 2002 camaro - nope same design since '98
a LS6 engine - nope z06 had it for awhile
                              4l60e - nope essentially a electronically controlled 700r4
                              ugly purple paint - maybe
roll cage - has been done

                              2000 Z28 - Cammed/Stalled/Intake - Collision With a Tree Mod - Totaled
2005 Grand Prix GXP - Sold
                              2000 SS - Sold
2011 Ford Taurus limited - Time for a practical car for a bit

It obvious you don't know what it takes to do these kinda mods to a new car and STILL sell it as a "NEW" with a full factory warranty thru a new car dealership.

They are veiw as a new Model car by the government. Which means these cars have to go thru may tests and recertifications, to be able to be sold thru a new car Dealership as a "NEW" car.
