Welp, sometimes MiFBody works out to be a great marketplace, and sometimes your stuff can languish for weeks, months, etc. A lot depends on who's looking at the forums at any particular time -- I have a hunch that you have to be pretty aggressive to keep your item in the top 15, otherwise hardly anyone will see it.
Also consider that, although this is a great community, it's not a huge and endless number of folks, so there's a good chance that at any given time, no one may need or want what you've got. For example, I have a factory SS hood that I thought someone would snap up because it needs a little work and as a result is priced relatively cheap, but it's been pretty much ignored.
Also remember that the more expensive of an item you're trying to sell, the more rarified the air becomes and the smaller your pool of potential buyers. Plus, it's nearing the end of the driving season, so there are a lot of really nice cars cars coming on the market that are competing with your car. Another factor to consider is that a number of MiFBody folks are headed back to school now and need to buy books, pay for tuition, etc., and may even be selling their own rides to help cover expenses. Also, the economy seems to be taking a dip again, so people who might have been in the market before could now be taking a more "wait-and-see" approach to spending a lot of cash or going into debt.
If you want maybe a few more bucks for your ride, or you need it gone faster, you should consider going to a wider marketplace like craigslist or even eBay.
Unless you're practically giving away a car, you're going to have to do some work to sell it. Just popping it onto MiFBody generally isn't going to do it all by itself. I'd recommend some more outdoor photography of the car (you know how we like pictures around here!), and be sure to include pics of the interior. If the interior is spotless, use that as a highlight. If it isn't, go get some cleaning supplies and make it so. GLWS!Last edited by ktl711; August 22nd, 2010, 02:17 PM.

Also, all 2002 Camaros had instrument panel plaques in the center stack that proclaimed "35th Anniversary Camaro," but the cars known as the "35th Anniversary Edition" Camaros were all SS models and were all painted Bright Rally Red. They carried RPO Z4C and featured, among other things, specific silver stripes, special logo embroidery on the ebony leather seats, and embroidered logo floor mats as well as a "trophy mat." I wouldn't recommend advertising it as a "35th Anniversary Camaro" unless it were a true Z4C car.Originally posted by FadeToBlak121 View Postit says 35th anniversary on the dash. thats why i thought it was.
what is your price range? I might be able to work with you.

Oddly enough on LS1tech couldn't sell my Formula, but it sold on here. Not terribly quickly, but it did sell.Originally posted by ktl711 View PostWelp, sometimes MiFBody works out to be a great marketplace
For sure, I make it a point to take a buttload of pictures when selling anything really, but especially expensive things.Originally posted by ktl711 View PostI'd recommend some more outdoor photography of the car (you know how we like pictures around here!), and be sure to include pics of the interior. what happened in april? what are you talking about?
edit: wait were you the guy I was supposed to meet awhile ago? If so, my memory is a little hazy but I believe I remember calling you that day, then my phone died. From you asking, I'm guessing I never got back to you after that. Sorry about that, man. Didn't mean to make you waste your time or gas and thanks for your interest (even though the thanks is coming months late, ha)Last edited by FadeToBlak121; August 24th, 2010, 05:16 PM.

Yeah, I wouldn't bother with an n/a Mustang.Originally posted by FadeToBlak121 View PostIs it supercharged?
I was working on a trade on a '98 (with a 1.7 Kenne Bell) on it for my Formula but we couldn't quite come together on a price (I had just dropped $2k on suspension and he wanted that, all he had was the KB for mods so I didn't think it was worth it). Always wanted to try one of these and it just worked out right. It makes 415/373 to the tires with just a CAI, and catback on the stock tune. That seems to be the biggest bottleneck, once you get a smaller pulley and a tune with the breathing mods they really wake up. I'm holding out on final judgement until I get that done.
Sorry for the long post, this car is still at the top if my list, if things don't work out with the Cobra.2004 GTO

I definitely think the paint damaged bumper is a huge drawback....it makes it seem like it was not taken care of and abused and makes ppl wonder what else is off about the car. also people don't want to buy a car to right away go get the bumper painted. get that fixed and clean the engine bay up (looks dusty/dirty in pic) and you will have a much better chance at selling.Originally posted by FadeToBlak121 View Postfor the few if any who still look at this thread. out of curiosity, is the paint damaged bumper the biggest drawback? Obviously getting it fixed would help sell it, but do you guys think thats what is turning people off of the car?
