$3,000? Somebody has to be interested. . . I have someone interested for $3,500, but I'm not going to let him test drive it until the snow melts, since it's not currently insured.

why dont you just drive the car and take him for a ride in it? If its not insured it should never be test driven.. what if he wraps it around a pole you are SOL

I'm going to put PLPD on it when the roads get better. He wants to come see it tomorrow afternoon, but it's buried under about 8" of snow right now, so I told him I'd rather wait until I get the snow cleared off of it, and finish shoveling the driveway.

I'll probably take him for a ride in it, that way if anything happens, I'll have nobody to blame but myself.

I hope to be able to keep it, I'm working on selling my Selmer Alto Sax as well, I think I have a buyer, just waiting to see if the $3,000 asking price is in their range. . . If that sells, I won't have to sell the 'bird or the Jeep. That would make me VERY happy. lol

If you have insurance on another car, you can bind the insurance for a few days too your bird. That's what I did when I drove my bird from Midland to Marysville. We binded it to my wifes 05 Grand Am. Something to look into and it only ended up costing us like $10-15 and was put on the next bill.

Let me know if/when you sell your car. I'll be holding onto it indefinitely if I get my Saxophone sold, but otherwise, it's gonna have to go.

Just wondering if you have the car still or not. I know December sucked for you, but last night the wife saw what it was going to cost to rebuild the motor in my car and suggested maybe buying another. I can never see myself in anything other than an F, so I figure for a little more than rebuilding a 6, I could go into an 8, providing that it (or something similar) would be around when the tax money comes in.

I know this sounds less than hopeful, given your situation, but in a matter of a few weeks, it could be reality.

I'm leaving for Basic Training in 41 minutes. . . The car is staying in my possession until I decide it's time to sell, I don't need the money right now, so I'd rather hold on to it, and I don't trust anyone else to sell my baby in my absence. Sorry about that, but for the immediate future, the car is off the market.

Honestly, I wouldn't let her go either. I think I'm just gonna do the rebuild. The wife can grumble to herself till the cows come home, but this car's been a companion longer than any woman in my life. She has seniority, namely because she doesn't follow the bus schedule rule (these car's don't come around every 5 minutes). God be with you, man and good luck!

Well, a lack of cooperation from my student loan companies has delayed my enlistment. . . I requested copies of my promissory notes from Sallie Mae last week, and they were supposed to be emailed, I was told they would be here today. They weren't. I was told that I have to have them before I ship, or I will lose the Loan Repayment Program from my contract, and it would revert back to the G.I. Bill. I called Sallie Mae again today, and they said that they can't do anything to make this happen any more quickly. I'm pissed, I should be in Lansing, watching free cable in a hotel room paid for by the Government, but I'm sitting here wishing I didn't have to go through this morning's sadness and nervousness all over again on Thursday.

The car is sticking with me, I realized that I'm not going to be able to handle getting rid of it. I'm too attached, and I've got too much into it to let it go for what someone else thinks it's worth.

It was good to meet you! I'm glad that beautiful T/A went to a great home, I kinda miss seeing it cruising around Adrian!

Thanks for the good luck wishes, I really appreciate it! Assuming my student loan companies start working with me, I'll be gone Wednesday. Thanks again, I'll check in when I'm allowed to have a computer in training. My Acer died yesterday, so I'm going to be ordering a new laptop at some point anyway.

Oh yeah, I got my Armed Forces Bank documents, checks, and my Debit Card today. . . That's exciting!
