I know I was just saying. The E85 does make the MPG's go down a bit and thats why I have a 93 Octane tune too. But the extra power is awesome, and E85 and gas is cheap enough right now.

Really though, do you have any idea the gas mileage you get in the car? Just wondering out of pure curiosity now.

I am not quite sure actually, it is kind of hard to keep my foot out of it for a whole tank, haha. I think when I tried to measure it before, it was about 15-16mpg.

Wow, that's even worse than I would've guessed. But whatever, you're not buyin' that car for THAT...

Well the main factor is the E85, so you are sacrificing MPG for RWHP. But as you said you aren't really buying it to save gas.

Other things that don't help are the 60# injectors and the 3.73's with a 4000 stalled A4.

I also let the car sit for a few minutes to warm up no matter if it's 100*F or 0*F, especially since everything is being broken in. So that uses up some fuel too.

But I don't mind it at all as I work only a mile from my house and everything in Battle Creek that I need is in-between 2 to 10 miles including two E85 stations.

But by putting the 93 Octane in you could probably get around 20mpg's and still have almost 430rwhp. Not to bad!

Cool car! That car with a fresh paintjob and a set of wheels would be killer. Best of both worlds! Performance of the LS1 and the better looks of the LT1 style.....I'm diggin it.....wish I had some extra money right now.

Yeah a lot of hard work and cold winter nights last winter went it to it. I debate actually figuring how much I spent minus what the parts I sold. I wonder if I'm coming out on top at all, haha!

THATS a for sale thread. All you guys whining about not being able to sell cars, take a page outta this guys book. Great sounding car man, looks like you took your time and did everything right. My E85 understanding isn't all that great, but how are you getting MORE power from E85? Good luck selling man, like James said, best of both worlds, that is a kick ass car.

Its a higher compression motor and E85 is higher octane fuel which means he should be able to change the timing a bit creating more power. Buy it Erik.

Thanks, haha! Sometimes I feel like it is too long and I start boring people before they get to the price, haha. I just want to be as thorough as I can. And read DETROITMUSLCE's response for concerning E85.
