  • $7500 94 SS Clone with LS1 Drivetrain, Suspension, & Interior; Running E85

    Video of car added.

My car is up for sale, I'm sure some of you may remember this car from the M&G. I am trying to get a C5 Corvette and there is a deal I am trying not to pass up but I need to sell this first. This price does not include it getting painted, but I can work a very good deal with my painter.

To start the car is a few shades of black, as described in the Exterior section, and a few would probably prefer it painted as I have not done much to the exterior yet, but this car was meant to go fast first before it did it in style, haha . Also sorry for the long post, I just wanted to be thorough.

For a little bit of background before the specifications. I bought a 01 Camaro SS that was hit in the rear end from a member on here and then bought a 1994 z28 roller for the heart transplant. I took the whole drivetrain, suspension, brake system, interior, doors, hatch and SS spoiler and installed them on the 94 body. I used the PCM, ECM, and full wiring harnesses from the 01 so there is no wiring mess. It also retains the ABS and ASR (Traction Control). I basically treat this car like it is a 2001 Camaro SS unless body work is needed. There are over 120K miles on the body and just under 63K miles on the drive train and interior, but there is less that 3K miles since the engine has been gone through and the car has been back on the road.

This car does run on both E85 and 93 Octane, BUT is not flex fuel. You have to change the tune using a program to switch back and forth which I do not have. It currently has the E85 tune because I have a E85 station a couple miles from my house. There is definitely a power difference between the two as shown in the Dyno graphs. On E85 it makes 450 rwhp and 418 rwtq and on 93 octane it makes 428 rwhp and 403 rwtq. It was dyno tuned by Ron at Pro Dyno Tech in Crawfordsville, IN and the buyer would be supplied with both tunes.

-The 01 speedometer is in the car so you can keep track of the actual mileage for the drive train.
    -Cruise Control
-No Rips, tears, and nothing is broken except for where the passenger window controls are, noted in pictures.
-Leather Seats; Driver Six-way Power Seat -Power Mirrors
-Power Windows with one press drivers window
-50% Tint All Around -Monsoon 6 Disc Sound System, The changer was wrecked in the accident since it sits in the back, it only has a tape player and radio but does have the plug in the spot for the changer just needs one to be plugged in and would be ready to go!
-Dynamat Sound Deadener from the Firewall to the rear seats. It does a very good job at keeping the road noise and the exhaust noise out of the cabin.
-The carpet has a few stains shown in pictures, but the car will be detailed before it leaves.
-The heat blows hot but the A/C needs to be charged.
-Since the harness and everything is from the 01 it has the Automatic Lights with DRL’s.

    Exterior:
-The car is currently a few shades of black, the fender and front bumper are a little faded because they are from the 94, the hood is flat black, and the rest of the car is nice and shiny. There are quite a few scratches on the parts belonging to the 94 which would be expected for a 14 year old car, but this is also the reason I was going to fix the little dings and scratches and paint it. My plans were to paint the car Ruri blue which comes on the Mitsubishi Evo’s and then paint a flat black manta stripe on the car with a flat black berger panel. The engine bay is already painted since I had the engine out and it was a perfect time, so you can see the color in the pictures. It is a beautiful color and really pops in the sunlight, it’s bright but deep at the same time and if the buyer so wishes I can have the rest of it painted.
-There is a little ding on the Passenger side rocker panel and then a small chip in the hatch by the key hole. Also the paint has chipped off on the rear bumper by the license plate. These are all noted in the pictures.
-I only have one fog light but it isn't installed and I think there is a crack in it, but I do have the Fog Lights from the 01 SS that I was going to retro-fit in.
-Tru Fiber SS Hood 2 which fits great just needs to be adjusted at the attachment points but for the time being was bolted on so I could drive it around. It looks like a stock SS hood but has the ram air ducts like the LS1 style hoods, therefore I had to make a custom intake assembly. Stock 94 hood is included though.
-Clear front turn signals, with appropriate bulbs.
    -T-Tops with Shades.
-LT1 Salad Shooter Wheels with about 75% tread all the way around.
-Brand New Bosch Icon Wiper Blades

    Extras:
    K&N FPIK Setup
    Triple Pod Pillar
    Autometer C2 Trans Temp gauge
    Autometer C2 A/F gauge narrowband
    Autometer C2 Fuel Pressure gauge

As for the intake box assembly it is a custom piece that I had a friend help me make. The box is painted flat black and sits on top of the radiator. The filter is a flat K&N filter (I will provide the number to the buyer so they know what to replace it with. This assembly was sealing up against the hood so the hood was modified to help airflow.

The engine oil and filter have been changed three times since the rebuild just to make sure there isn’t any debris left in the motor form tear down. It currently runs Castrol 0-W30 the German formula with the larger K&N oil filter. The trans oil has also been changed with Castrol ATF Fluid and the filter has also been changed. There is all new brake fluid to and the rear end in full. Power steering fluid is also new.

I do not abuse this car at all! I haven’t even done a burnout, donuts, or even been above 90 mph, haha. I have done the occasional peel out from the light and have driven it spiritedly, but no abuse.

As far as pricing I was looking for $7500 FIRM. This car would be perfect for the person that loves the styling of the LT1 with the power of a well modified LS1. It is a blast to drive and I would imagine that this stalled car would be great for someone who likes to go to the track a lot or just as a daily driver as that is what it is for me and hasn’t given me problems. Unfortunately I don’t go to the track and I am really looking to stepping up to a corvette. I have put a lot of time, money, and plenty of swear words into putting this together, haha!

No the car was originally black, I had the engine painted Ruri blue when I had the engine and trans out. My friend and I haven't had the same open time to work on getting it painted yet.

Yeah Im sure everyone would like it better with SS wheels but what your are getting for the price already is amazing. I don't really want to spend money to sell it and plus the money I spend on those wheels I won't be able to add on the price so I lose money.

Wish it could get that big but with Pontiac talking about being cut there's a chance that my mom might lose her job and since my dad's retired that's not good for us.

No, but anybody with 11:1 compression, great flowing heads and a cam as big as mine wouldn't, not even at 6 speed. And plus the car wasn't tuned to to be more efficient than my mom's sewing machine, it was tuned to lay down rubber and scare the pants off old ladies, haha!

Understandable, I hope all goes well. It does look like in GM's plan that they are going to make Pontiac a specialty brand, so that's good.
