Wouldn't that Ram Jet engine be a little more suited with a ram-air hood?

It's a sweet car in person. It was at the Eaton tent at Woodward a couple years ago. I got to check it out up close. The car actually sold at Barrett Jackson in January. I guess somebody thinks they can make money on it.

BTW Brian...RamJet has NOTHING to do with ram air.

It's not even a real Camaro, mind you...

It's all reproduction - one of those Dynocore (is it?) reproduction bodies.

It's a real Camaro. GM has licensed them as a replacement bodies. Just doesn't have an original VIN or title. For a hot rodded car, I'm perfectly fine with a repro body. Let the restorers keep the original cars original.

Well, yeah, I know it's licensed and all, but still not "original", but whatever.

I think they will have a difficult finding a buyer for it at that price. I think it is worth 1/2 of what they are asking.

I love there comment about "This Camaro was appraised at 450K+.".... I will remember that when I sell my 01 v6...This Camaro was apraised at 10,000 (in 2003?). Green is a difficult color to sell espically a goofy green with a goofy paint scheme. I think painted bumpers are a thing of the 80s. A quarter million dollar car should have some kind of console, wheel well splash shields, and I think the guage cluster looks cheap(looks fit a race car but not a $250,000 car).

Maybe I am jealous, but I much prefer the Orange 69 with a 572 that trancon built a few years back.

And therefore incapable of being registered in a growing number of states.

If you can't register it, don't know how you can say it's real.

And therefore I don't know how somebody can think that it's worth 2x or more what an original goes for.

Nope, sorry...give me a 67 RS/SS 396, a 73 Super Duty, and money left over to buy 5 acres and put a 20x40 pole barn on it.

I'm understanding that much, isn't the RamJet the way the intake is? If not, then whatever the name for how the intake is just... stuck right to the intake manifold like it is. I would think that's highly inefficient. Everyone does all this work to make sure the air coming into the car is cold (CIA) and these guys just stick the intake right onto the manifold like "Eh, whatever." I would imagine all that hot air in the engine bay wouldn't be efficient for the intake's placement.
