Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
I'm understanding that much, isn't the RamJet the way the intake is? If not, then whatever the name for how the intake is just... stuck right to the intake manifold like it is. I would think that's highly inefficient. Everyone does all this work to make sure the air coming into the car is cold (CIA) and these guys just stick the intake right onto the manifold like "Eh, whatever." I would imagine all that hot air in the engine bay wouldn't be efficient for the intake's placement.
There's nowhere to run a cold air intake...battery on one side, and radiator hose and washer bottle on the other.
They could have gone to a functional hood, or relocated the battery to the trunk.
Poorly executed.
But frankly, most CAIs are over-rated anyway IMHO.

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.
You can call it a 69 Camaro, but its considered a replica kit car that was built in, correct me if I'm wrong in (2006). With that said, one would have to insure it as a 2006. As far as the vin # is concerned, I'm sure it has a "serial number" asigned to it so it can be registered.

I really don't like it. I'm not feeling the color combo.
Same here, butt ugly to me.. I'd drive it if it was given to me, that's about it.. Stripes are too wide, wierd color combo in the interior, etc, etc... Thumbs down from this viewer..
Its Really an AWESOME car in Person, Seen it on Power Tour.
The "HotRod1 Camaro" is the prototype '69 Camaro for the muscle car body line-up and even further yet, the first car "Hot Rod" magazine ever licensed that carries that "Hot Rod" name and logo.
Thats not a true statement either. Somebody either doesn't know or is forgetting about the Hot Rod Magazine Camaro's Berger & GMMG did http://gmmginc.net/programs/HotRod/

A lot of these builders are finding original vins and cowl plates from cars beyond repair and using the dynacore bodies. Yes, the pieces are produced in China, but they jig assebled in the USA from those parts. It will never be a real first gen camaro - only a reproduction (and the sheet metal is lighter). But these bodies are good for the builders, so many people hold original cars to sacred to cut up - so there is a kniche to be filled.
Personally, I like my original #'s matching car better.
