Looks like a nice Z28, but it does have 100,000 miles ..........

But Joel, I'll have to question your opinion on the BEST LT1 year, and vote for the '96SS.

So what makes the 95 better then the 96? The fact that you own one?

95 is considered the best for the following reasons:

-used the highest compression cylinder head casting of the run, also the meatiest heads for porting
                      -1st year of vented opti
-last year of OBD1 computer which worked better on LT1s (OBD1 is NOT superior to OBD2)
                      -no troublesome crank position sensor
                      -most came with hardened pushrods
-last year single cat/no cat monitors: easier to put headers on, or have an emission legal setup.

and last but not least theres a running joke on the tech boards that "If an LT1 beats other LT1s, its probably a 95"

and no its not because i own one. i was clueless to all this when i bought mine shouldve known i would have to defend that statement doug however, may have a rare exception with his ported exhaust manifolds, if he does in fact have them

Other than the whole OBD 1.5 thing
OBD1.5 is really a non-issue. you have to buy the correct cable for it... thats all

I was just speaking to the fact that it is hard to get codes scanned without either going to a dealership or owning your own scanner. Luckily working at Eaton, I have connections

cars have not only lost value over the last few years, but their selling point has also been shot a few times by a .50 cal the way this economy is going.
