not when you could by the LS1 T/A on this site for the same price. LT1s can and will go for a grand less.

With LT1s, i have to see them in person. Not to brag my own car up, but if you found one like mine with a flawless body, paintjob, interior, and strong engine, they can be worth up to about 10 (with a six speed), but a beat up automatic car is hardly worth its weight in scrap these days. 6 speeds will pull 1-2k more than an automatic because they were only 13% of production and what everyone wants.

I would need to see the condition of that car in person to say for sure. you can never tell with black unless youre looking at a 5 mega pixel picture down the side of the car.

If that car is clean, appears cared for, and is mechanically sound, i would say its worth about what he is asking. If its mint minus the scratch (probably isnt) id say its worth more. Youre also going to have a wide range of performance with 130k mile LT1s. Some have been abused and neglected and are lucky to run 16s... others will slam home a 13 first try.

personally, i wouldnt TOUCH an LT1 sight unseen. I love mine to death but I know damn well they are problematic cars. Owners that dont have the patience for these minor problems are the ones that run them into the ground.

not near 5500, there are ls1s with fairly low milage going for 7000 and sometimes less, that car shouldnt be worth over 4000 IMO, camaros with high mileage just dont seem to be gettin much value now that the new one is coming out.

unfortunately i dont know what convertables go for in comparison to other roofs. on the market itself, demand for convertibles isnt very high so they dont pull more unless the right buyer looking for one is found. They are a higher premium on insurance, and higher value on blue book.

i could be wrong(which is my point in asking) but on ebay they appear to bring a premium over a comparible HT

i would say thats true on ebay because convertables are likely to be more desirable in states other than the one you and i live in

what about the other thread here with the black T/A goin for 5500??? It's got 35k less miles and it's also an automatic. I know it doesn't have T-tops but I'd rather have no T-tops then have a vert. Also this other black T/A on here is a LS1!! IMO the T/A is a wayy better deal that that Z28. But if you are a Camaro guy then never mind the last few sentences and this whole post is worthless. haha.

Oh and the other thread is somthing like "Take my car before I change my mind" or somthin similar to that.

I'd want to see pics of the interior and engine. Those wheels are ugly and look like they belong on a truck. It's a fair price I think. Verts are always anywhere from 2-5K more than a hard top or T top car. You vert haters really need to drive one. I test drove a 6 speed LS1 Z28 vert before I bought my car. I was thinking it over and was going to buy it till I found the 0% for 60 month on new cars. I would have liked a vert but they were way more than I could afford. Having the top down with the V8 rumble is sweet.
