  • I actually was working on taking Red Alert but I guess my dad can't get the insurance put on it yet for me to drive across the state to attend the funeral with it. So it looks like Angie and I will be coming in our Trailblazer.

        • Brian, Marge and I will be at the 7pm viewing and staying over for the funeral on Monday. We are also staying at the Holiday Inn. The funeral is not just for family but for all of us to say our very last good-byes and see Doug off on his new journey. We'll be in my HHR.

I really like all the talk about special awards and the reserved parking space is a very nice idea. We'll have to discuss also doing something at CSF, as Doug was part of that for 16 years too!

Safe travels, see you all on Sunday.

Angie felt kinda awkward about going to the funeral as she feels it's more of a family thing so obviously we don't want to intrude on Doug's family, but if many of the club is going to be at the funeral too we'll definitely tag along.
Your not intruding, if you asked doug he would always tell you that his friend were his family. There will be a lot of Douds friends at the funeral. WMCC is providing a lucheon after the funeral.

Brian....you are more than welcome to come to the service. I'm sure Doug would want you guys there. The viewing and service will be very large due to the fact that Doug touched a lot of people's lives and feel compelled to be there. I'm sure most of the Club will be there most of the day on Sunday as well as Monday.

Brian, Doug liked Trailblazers too as he had one for a DD for the last several years so youd fit right in with him lol

Hey Barry - I'm sure we'll see you Sunday then! I'm not quite sure when we'll be leaving (ironically enough, we'll be leaving from Angie's parents house in Livonia) but I'm sure we'll be getting in around the same time.

Haha that's true! In that case I better make sure I go through a car wash so it'll be nice and clean.

                          • I hope to see all of you both Sunday and Monday remember Doug would have wanted all of us there! No matter what you drive or how you dress.
We will be breaking out one of the cars as it looks like it will be decent out.
I am looking for Pictures of Doug at Meetings, car shows please send them to me via e-mail then I will make it to meijer and print and attach to the boards.
I am picking up some boards from Anita and some pictures but I think we only have around 20 photos so far.
