  • Announcement! Matthew Carver's car is done and runs very strong

Just got done today with Matthew Carver's car. Got it all fixed up and rear end all done and now she runs very strong. It pulls so hard and has good street manners. It will do 162mph in 3rd gear and with the tune it has a lot more left in it. Happy that he trusted me to fix his baby for him. He is driving it to work tonight cause he is so excited.

Yepp. Everything was going good till I got close to home Tuesday morning on my way home until the engine cut out, Lost oil pressure, motor would turn over but wouldn't start. So hitched a ride on a flatbed back to travis's house.
Found the fuel pump wasn't coming on either. We looked things over for a few mins. Travis called me a little later to tell me he found my ground line to my alternator was cut. Mr. Warner hack job strikes again!

Alternator doesn't have a ground wire, there was one that went from the frame rail to the engine block in that area.

Often the ground strap is forgotten or not noticed when dropping the k-member which leads to a break. Mine never had a hiccup with it unhooked. The grounds on the back of the heads are another story...

Anyway, not backing up Ken. Glad to hear it was a small issue.

Ya I am installing a Hotwire kit today and that will fix the ground issue and also supply a full 12 volts to the pump which it needs.
