Up at the very top right of the page, click Settings. In the left column under My Account, click General Settings. About halfway down there is Private Messaging options, find Sent Private Messages and click the radio button that says "Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default". Scroll to the bottom and click the Save Changes button.
