some of you guys are getting a little "ricer" with your excuses on track times, like bald tires, fried clutch, etc, WTF... time slips don't lie

WhoaNick! 10 pages for an intro thread.
Lets lay off the guy a bit please. I doubt he joined up to be duped into a race.
Don't make me assert ma authoritay!!!
Welcome to the site Nick. Don't worry about the guys here, they are cool. Just give it some time. I'd love to take a closer look at that vette of yours. I've got a '85 Vette in the household and am looking to buy a C3 Vette soon. If you run across a nice '72 in Marina Blue with a targa top let me know.

The point was that I still ran a 13.37 with these FACTS,No excuse, 13.37 is not that good for a stock WS6. Any one that knows me, knows my tires are bald.. A select few were there and know I could'nt get the car out of fourth because the clutch was gone. No these were the condition of the car, these are factors that led to a 13.37... I could lie and say I ran something different, instead I spoke the truth. It's frustrating shifting into second and having the clutch slip, that's cool though, found the weak spot. you know what? I still got out there and ran Four more times, but just kept getting worse times. I have pic's, video, and time slips. I'm not quoting what some Mag say's I should run and I did'nt call it a day because the clutch was gone!! There were Stock C5's out there and the best I saw one put down was a 13.52!!!Originally posted by shiftinda93zsome of you guys are getting a little "ricer" with your excuses on track times, like bald tires, fried clutch, etc, WTF... time slips don't lie
Maybe I should try it with drag radials and a 4.10Originally posted by shiftinda93zsome of you guys are getting a little "ricer" with your excuses on track times, like bald tires, fried clutch, etc, WTF... time slips don't lie
Nic, your 19, with a C5, shows you work hard!! I'm on you because your screen name is a open challenge, The car looks great and you seem cool, I just don't back down from a challenge, sometimes I loose, sometimes I win, but I always have fun!!! Ive looked at the timeslips page and some of those Guy's in the 12's, Ive beat {you know who you are}. Nothing personal, It's what I do, Take the challenge, win or loose.01WS6A Crazy John

I'm curious as well. I could hardly aford to pay insurance on my T/A when I was 20. How did you get yourself a C5? Even with 100,000 miles those things are going for $20,000 in decent condition. Whats your secret young one?Originally posted by JasonTwhere does a 19 year old get money for a 2000 corvette? and pay for the insurance....does it have 130,000 miles on it?

the car had 45,000 on it when i got it. and i work 75hrs a week in the spring, summer, and fall, im laid off in the winter. My insurance is cheap as hell because 1 i have no points on my licence, 2 a corvette is classified under a lugsuary car or howere ya spell it lol. Yes the insurance and everything is in my name. I pay like $253 every month with plpd on my 96 jeep cherokee sport, and full on my vette, and i just got a thing saying its goind down.
but i dont know how much for sure since its on storage now wich cost me like $330 or something for 6 months on the jeep and $57 bucks or something for 6 months on the vette for theft and fire! I go threw Farm Bearu if ne one is interested.
and KuruptWS6spd dont make bullshit comments i dont care if your kidding, it really pisses me off when people say shit about something that i have worked so hard for.

I was just curious, because I kinda get a bit jeleous when mommy and daddy buy there kids expensive cars. I've seen it alot in my town. Congrats on buying that C5 with your own cash. I know what its like to have to work hard to buy a fun car. I worked 1 year before I had the cash for my T/A and it was only $8,000. I'm currently shopping for a C5 in the $25,000 range with under 40,000 miles so if you see one let me know.

The Chevy Camaro was built with a single purpose in mind which it executes flawlessly...Going very very fast in a straight line until your hair catches on fire.

I put down 326 at the wheels with just a K&N air filter and ran a 13.37 with a fried clutch and bald F1's.. I have yet to be beaten by a stock C5 and they don't call me crazy because I just sit there at the light. Half the Z06's I raced, I've beat. Just because they couldn't drive or they couldn't hook, and at a roll I've never had one pull on me.. OK enough talk!! where do you want to meet?????????????
seriously what did you expect on a F-BODY site. Nice vette though, and I do look foward to seeing you on the street.
