ok, here ya go.
This used to belong to Nick, up in Saginaw. I bought it a couple of weeks ago. Been getting things fixed up.
So far, new headliner,and had the sun visors custom recovered in a faux suede. both in black. I bought some interior panels and a set of seats off a guy on craigs list. They came out of a T/A. the drivers seat was shot. So I used the foam and suspension from the pas. seat to rebuild my drivers side bucket. Its like brand new now. When I find a new side panel/cover for the seat I will have power drivers seat. Replaced the rear sail panels and the trunk panels with the T/A ones. They have speakers in them. replaced the A pillar covers with the grey ones from the T/A. replacing the ebony ones that were in it.
Replaced both power window motors, and riveted in the new regulators.
Realigned both windows for leak free seal.
New stereo.
New starter. (By the way, should anyone need a new starter go to Bills Suburban. He has new starters, not rebuilts for $95.00 2 year warranty)
Fixed massive oil leak, which I thought was going to be a rear main...turned out to be a finger tight oil pressure sending unit! score!!
Today I fixed the horn and installed the running/fog lights
I have spent a few days with some 3/8th inch adhesive foam, putting pieces here and there behind panels and trim to quiet things down. Works like a charm.
Headers and y pipe are coming this winter, Im going to go with the mid length ceramic coated.
And hopefully get some of the paint situated, there is a bit of road rash here and there, along with some dings on top of the drivers rear quarter I would love to get fxed. but whe'll have to wait and see bout that.Comment
