My son is 35 and wanted to recreat his high school first love, a 1985 silver Camaro IROC. At the time we did not know how rare this car wasm, and sold the car when he went to college. So to find a silver IROC is very difficult or expensive, so we have purchase a silver 1987 Z-28, and are in the process of cloning it into a silver IROC. The car is pretty well gutted at this time. We are in the process of rebuilding the 5.0 V-8 and have remove the automatic, and purchased and rebuilt a 5-speed manual transmission to install. The body is fairly solid, with a couple of rust areas below a leaky heater core. Tim has repaired these area, and is working on getting the bottom of the car clean and painted. We hope to have the car completed by June of this year so we may see you in Detroit.
