Hello peoples! My name is Joe and I just recently purchased my first Camaro this pas weekend... its a 1997. I'm really pumped as I always wanted a Camaro! I'm currently trying to figure out so good ways of
    1. maintaing the car (has high miles 188850) 2. increasing the performance (3.4L) not trying to race it or anything like that, but just want it to be respectable. Thanks for any feedback and pics of your examples.

    97 should be a 3.8 not a 3.4?

Welcome to the site, Joe! If it's a 3.4L.... well, my condolences, there's really not much to make that anchor respectable. If it's the 3.8L you have more options. Congrats on the purchase either way

Redemption! There are more mods available for the 3.8L v6... It's not a bad engine by any means, 3.8l v6s usually keep up with the Mustang GT (v8) from the same years.

Nice, and over the years the 3.8L has earned much respect! If it was well taken care of...don't be afraid to whoop on it! haha!! Post up some pics when you get a chance.

Werd, my intake/rocker/exhaust/PCM modded L36 in my '99 Wbody held it's own against a similar vintage GT on the freeway.
