  • Turbo or ls1

Ok so I'm trying to decide between doing a ls1 swap or putting in a turbo what do y'all think

I say go ls1, it would be alot easier to do, more power in the long run, and less headache imo

you can find ls1 engine and tranmissions on craigslist fairly often

As a fellow V6 owner who's agonized with the same question, I concluded that the LS1 made more sense. For bang for the buck, for the availability of parts and shared knowledge, for the final HP output, for reliability and durability, for exhaust note, for rumble at idle, etc., etc.

Make sure to keep your ducks in a row on the swap, which means you need to make sure EVERYTHING is there prior to the swap, unless you like unexpected downtime

Better to just sell the v6 and buy an LS1 car.

What he said - no one wants to buy a car with a swapped engine.
