Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Hello Im Justin i have a 2001 Chevy Camaro V6 but i am looking to build it to make it a little bit faster .. A few of my options were to turbo it and just run 7 psi on stock internals then if i like it i will prolly build the engine for more boost .. If anyone has ideas or can send me in the right direction id appriciate it ..
Welcome to the site Justin! I joined a couple years ago and had a 3.4l v6 camaro looking to build. I ended up caving and buying a v8 (granted, there are a lot more mods you can do for the 3.8 v6's than there are for the 3.4's)
Welcome to MiFBody! Ain't nothing wrong with the 3800 -- it gets out of its own way, and allows you to get into an F-Body relatively economically.
I have a 2002 sixer and have the same dilemma. Your mileage may vary, but I came to the conclusion that until my 186,000 mile engine pukes, I'm just going to leave it because it runs sweet and it's bulletproof. When the time comes, it will likely get replaced with an LS1. No sense in putting all your money into a six that will be "almost as good" as the V8, when for the same money (or even less), you can have the LS1. Plenty of people on the site have made the 3800-to-LS1 conversions in their cars, and are happy to share their info with others.

Welcome to the site! Save your pennies for an LS1 swap, or to buy an LS1 car (actually cheaper than a swap) if you really want to make reliable good power.
The 3.8 is an excellent engine and very reliable.
Turbo set up would be awesome, but in the end you will be better off with an LS1.
I have nothing against 3.8 turbo cars because they are fast.
I honestly believe we need more 3.8 turbo f-bodies.
