  • Greetings

    Ahoy there fellow Michiganders!

I was on thirdgen.org when my friend introduced me to this site. Should be fun to interact with locals and talk about some cool cars ...

My ride is a 1989 Chevrolet Silverado 1500...... oh wait, I mean my F body is a 1991 Pontiac Firebird base TBI with all power options.
The car's 100% unmolested, was owned by an adult and treated like a real car. Not all chopped up with viper alarm and aftermarket stereo and jerry rigged ...
The factory VATS system works with the original key, the air bag is still there and the module lights up and works (as far as I know - not about to test it).

Overall, hardly rusty car for a Michigan F body, rebuilt 305 L03 and 700R4 with the stock 2.73 rear end. I hope to have it out at the Clinton Township Gratiot cruse.
It really isn't beautiful, but it's mine, I worked hard on it, and it's an F-body! That's reason enough for me to want to cruse it, and that's reason enough for me to
want to see other F-bodies there, in good shape or not.

              Well you asked for it!

The first time I seen the car:

Right after I got the car:

It also came with the hood, this:

              and this (both rebuilt):

Overloaded yet? lol ... The car's come a long way. It was missing quite a few parts ... what you see in the back of the truck is all that it came with other than the engine, hood and trans.

EDIT: Oh, and the 5th of August is the Clinton Township Gratiot cruse ... plus I don't know if the ol' bird is up to driving that far. I live in the Warren/Roseville area ... so it's 50 miles down 696/96 for me to get my barely finished (it'll never be done, really ) Firebird over there. The engine isn't broke in yet either. I've driven it a grand total of 3 miles!
