Wow... Does he just have a lot of money that he's willing to scrap stuff that could be sold?

I don't understand his thought process :\ I guess if he didn't pay any money for it and it is in his space - it has no value to him. He scrapped an old Ford LTD I bought for 50 bucks...I was going to derby this shit out that thing. Oh well, made some money on that deal.



As for the white and blue, a big from me. Oh, and 17" snowflakes pretty please!

I guess the trunk is the only place I can find original paint on the car, even when sanded down to bare metal....

In the trunk, the passenger side isnt too bad-




But the driver side is pretty bad......

The rest of the body is black spray paint, with yellow (possibly primer?) underneath and bare metal below that-

The dash is pretty nice with the exception of 1 crack, near the center-



And found a Hurst shifter in the center console-




Looks like the interior has been spray painted also....was tan originally. The interior is going to take some serious elbow grease.....havn't taken the covers off the seats yet.

The engine bay, hood and entire front end of the car seem to be in great shape!

And some info I was able to clean up from under the layer of dirt/dust buildup that has settled over the last 2 years of it sitting....

I got the VIN #.

Is it safe to post it online? I cant recall.....

I hope to at least clean it up, and get all the buildup off the car, inside and out, tommorow. Might even start sanding.

Its got the 2:41 Locking rear end in it.

So far, I have found-

Originaly had the 403 w/ 4 barrel
made in Norwalk Ohio
built in the first week of May
Originaly had camel cloth interior, but was spray painted
Original color was Heritage Brown
Stock T-tops
And it was # 75,721 off the assembly line.

Just a tiny correction -- it would have been made at the former Chevrolet assembly plant in Norwood OH, just outside of Cincinnati. Norwalk OH is just off the Ohio Turnpike on your way to Cleveland.

PS -- Glad you were able to save this 'Bird! Might take a little bit more than a buffing and a new hanging air freshener, but you'll get there!
