  • New Guy Here

My name is John and I am currently tuning the freshly rebuilt 383 in my 97 T/A. This time, I went with smaller injectors-32 vs 42, lower compression-10.2 vs 11.5, and a cam that starts to make power at 1800 vs 4000. Only have about 20 miles on it, but what a hoot! The low end torque reminds me of my old 69 Cobra Jet! Thinking of dropping from 4:10 to 3:43 or 3:50, any advice? My trans is a beefed up T-56 and this is going to be 90% cruiser.

for a 90% cruiser it sounds like the correct move. Post up an add on here and you might get several offer to trade you because of gear ratio.
    OBTW welcome to the site.

Great idea, might be a winter project though, it's been down since last summer.
