  • Despite my best efforts, I just couldn't stay away....

..so after blowing the bottom end in my Volvo ('94 850 Turbo wagon), I picked up my 3rd F-body - a '96 Z28 M6 with shorty headers, catback delete (an exhaust dump right in front of the axle ), 9" rear end with Detroit locker, Centerforce clutch, and a Nitrous Oxide Systems setup. Car came from an old friend of mine, who I believe told me he's run a 12.8 on slicks and spray in it. Nitrous scares the crap out of me, so I likely won't be verifying that claim anytime soon, lol. Seen too many engines become instant paperweights when something goes wrong while on spray.

Previously I've had a '91 Firebird base model, and a '93 Z28 M6 (and many, many other cars...the running joke of my friends is that I've destroyed more cars than most people will own in a lifetime ). I didn't miss the '93 right away when I sold it, but over time I began to, especially when I started spending more time around my brother's '67 Camaro RS convertible, and the other F-bodys of my friends.

This one unfortunetly needs a good deal of cleanup work, especially in the interior (sat outside with a door window missing for some time), and I'll need to replace pretty much all the bushings in the suspension, oh, and I need tires pronto, but I figure it should be another fun project

So yeah, hi everyone! Oh yeah, and I know everyone wants pics..but all you'll see is a stock looking black on black Z with salad shooters...seen one, seen them all, lol.

I don't know how well the interior will show up here, but here goes anyways! Also, I just replaced the wheels and tires today with a much cleaner set of painted salad shooters, along matching Toyo Proxes all around

Get to scrubbing - there's potential, just going to take a lot of cleaning. Looking forward to seeing your progress!

Unfortunetly time is at a big premium right now, followed by being bigtime broke after dealing with the last car taking a crap on me (getting paid very little to work a job that's 45 miles from the house isn't helping matters much either...anyone looking for a computer hardware/printer support guy? )

I'm hoping it doesn't rain much this weekend so I get a good chunk of the work done then...it's really not driveable until I fix the blown out exhaust header gasket (which is course is on the passenger side, lol). Once that's done, the big cleaning starts, followed by heavy reworking of the wiring that's been added to the car.
