  • Racing????

Anyone know where i can race my car on a track? Not a drag strip but like an Auto Cross or time trials. Something to test my suspension upgrades i am installing. Already installed flowmaster full exhaust, American racing headers, High flow catalytic convertors, Cold air intake, and had it Dyno tuned to 425RWHP. I am adding a machined intake manifold, and a Diablo programmer as well as subframe stabilzers, strut bars and sway bars as well as lowering springs. I just want to test it on a track. Maybe get together with some other camaro lovers. Talk at ya later.

There is a track in waterford, called waterford hills; there is one in south haven (gingerman) and one in grattan (grattan). The last two are on the west side of the state and I have never been to waterford hills but gingerman and grattan are fun tracks. As far as autoX goes i'm sure some guys from that side of the state will chime in.

And another thing.....when I gun the motor, I want the whole world to think it's coming to an end.

Seems fine to me. It's probably a LS3 car. Typically these cars are putting a base 370-380 to the wheels. CAI + LTs + Tune can equal 45 hp on these cars

You may be right I had to go reread it again cause I saw there was no mention of it being a 5th gen until I looked under his s/n but I still don't see it making 425 being just bolt on sorry OP

still wouldnt throw flowmasters on there. you get an exhaust that flows better and the rest of the mods can best reach their full potential

The common misconception is that all Flowmaster mufflers suck when only the 80 series crossflow used on 3rd and 4th Gen F-bodies is the bad one.

As far as AutoX I know theres a few east side guys on here that do it from time to time.

If you wanna cry about the FlowMasters just put on some cutouts and it doesn't matter if they suck or don't just open the exhaust.

The SCCA Autocross season schedule for 2011. I'll see you there
Adding power makes you faster on the straights. Subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere.

For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day, you shall have a track day, a Sabbath of competing, to time the FIREBIRD; whoever does any work on it shall be put in last place.

Welcome to the site Josh! Where abouts in Shelby Township are you from? I grew up in the "Presidents sub" (all the streets are named after Presidents) north east of 25 Mile and Shelby Rd.

I have autocrossed the the CCM(Corvette Club of Michigan) 4 times and I enjoyed it very much. They have an autocross once a month spring to fall in hamtramic. Many other people go to bell isle as well.
