No I did not get to drive on Gratiot with it. The 3.4 was leaking coolant and lucky for me the trans went as I pulled in my driveway. Expected though with over 250,000 miles on the orginal trans and engine. I think I've seen you on Gratiot before. Around 12 Mile?? There are a couple of GN's in Roseville. The motor came out of a 75 Firebird. Its a low comp. motor. But upping compression on a Pontiac is easy with a head swap. Plus I have 4 sets of heads and a 350 block in the garage. Plan is a 9:1 w/ 6X-4 heads hand ported by me with larger exaust valves, A Comp XE274 Hydralic Cam, Comp 1.52 Roller Tip rockers, A Q-Jet, RPM Manifold, Forged Pistons and Rods. According to various Pontiac builders I've talked to, I should be in the neighborhood of 375-400 Horsepower and 425-475 Ft/Lbs of Torque. Coupled with a TH400 with a shift kit and mild stall, I should be doing mid 12's all day. The car is being lightened as much as I can. Should weigh around 3300 to 3450 with me in it. Plus, there is aways that nitrous Kit in my basement too!!!!

Welcome Dave I'm another Local guy from your area (SCS). Mark (Badassbuick) lives around the corner from me. The Project sounds real interesting, make sure you get a good stiff front spring for the suspension as even the stock 4th gen V8 springs won't be used to supporting the heavy Pontiac V8.

Hey dave, yeah i live at 12 and Little mack so im prolly the guy you saw, just look for the GN with no front bumper Fillers i hope you have that car ready by spring.

Sorry about the pics

Wasn't at home when I registered but I loaded up some pics in my profile. Right now the only thing left to come out is the gas tank. I'm pretty much at a stand still right now. Although I did pull the motor last Febuary with the car sitting in the backyard so anything's possible. I guess when your freezing, you don't putz around. Anyway I'm awaiting to start the motor in 3 weeks. I'm excited!!! Plus, I need a working welder come spring so I can get cracking on making this thing fit. Well thanks for the welcomes, guys!
