                  welcome to the site.

Save yourself the headaches and just sell the v6 for the v8 if you are set on a ls1, I hear it is the better route to go from the guys that spent the time swapping a ls1 into the v6 cars. Pretty much everyone says they would have done it that way if they knew how much of a pain it was gonna be

and wow, Travis - LS1 swaps must suck. I think my LT1 swap was well worth it.

your telling me you would rather have your car the way it sits over a clean unmolested true lt1 car with the similiar mods as you?

All the recent swaps I've seen people do just don't appeal to me very much, they always butcher wiring or paint or whatever in the engine bay just to get the swap results the cheap way and try to act like thats the best way to go.

My brother (97rs4life) is right, just save yourself the time and buy an ls1 car unless you have some special attachment to yours for whatever reason. I had a supercharged 1999 firebird v6 and was about ready to either up the boost or do an ls1 swap.. well I did research and decided to just buy an ls1 car . I don't regret the decision one bit. Prices are crazy cheap for ls1 camaros right now. Not only would you have a faster car for cheap and wayyyy less hassles, but it wouldnt be hacked up and somewhat unreliable either..

Oh and I don't want to hear the higher priced insurance arguement from anyone. I think mine went up like 10-15 bucks from a 1999 firebird v6 to a 1999 trans am..
