i have a buddy who has an s10 rear end with 4 11 posi in it. will this bolt right up to my firebird? i was told it might but im new to mechanics. im more of an electrical person so i figured i would ask some expert advice

welcome to mifbody! As it was stated above that rear end won't bolt up into your firebird you'll need a 3rd gen or 4th gen fbody rear.sigpic

I could be wrong on this but I think the track ( width ) is different. I believe that the carrier and the gears are the same but the S-10 is not as wide as the F-body. Somebody help me if I'm wrong on this. I do remember guys with 3rd gens and 4th gens doing gears swaps with S-10 gears so I'm pretty sure I'm right about the carrier and gears, but I'm not 100% certain.sigpic
