Name is Ryan, i live in southfield, work in Troy. Joined this site looking to find some clubs or hangouts in southeast Michigan in the summer. I have a 2000 Z28 M6. Parts waiting for install are Fast 90/ NW90. TSP true duals, pacesetter LT's, and Eibach Pro's. If anyone has any info on car clubs around the detroit area i would appreciate it. I'm 22, not really into the street racing scene, but just looking to hang out, maybe go to the track. ( i havent had a chance to get there yet i bought the car in july). These are some shots of the car. Currently it has a lid, magnaflow CB and ws6store short stick on the stock hurst shifter.

Hey Ryan, welcome to the site! You're in the right place - we get together all the time on Woodward on Fridays when the weather is nice and we also go to meetups at CJ Barrymores on Hall Road by Heidenreich (spelling?) - just to name a few. We're having a winter meetup at Buffalo Wild Wings at 26 Mile Rd and Van Dyke in Shelby Twp / Washington on December 27th - would be a good way to meet us, we drive our winter cars and just have fun inside chatting and hanging out.

I'm also on LS1tech with the same name. Getting kind of sick of that site, there seems to be no shortage of jerks on there. I may make it out, if not i'll cruise on here and find other times to hang out. My winter "beater" Is a 2000 Monte Carlo SS 3800v6. Almost 200k miles but looks like 100k. Leather, loaded blah blah. Nice car, but i always wanted a V8. I always say that if it as a Rear wheel drive v8 car ( like it should have been) i would have never needed the camaro. But for what it is, it's no slouch. Thanks for the quick replies, this site seems pretty cool, and i like that its all local. Seems like LS1tech is all texas and cali people (with more money than they know what to do with)

Very cool Monte - have you ever heard of the Monte Millenium club? They're a nationwide club for Montes and pretty active - I believe they have a yearly meetup at MIS too. Always envied them for that one!

And yeah, you'll like it here -- we can be a rowdy bunch every now and then but for the most part we're like one big family since we're all local and hang out every now and then. There's quite a few people that use LS1Tech as reference and reference only for the same reasons you posted about - myself included.

Nope there arent many of us left. I agree I also like 4 strokes but I dont think I will ever sell my two stroke, even if i end up buying a 4 stroke. 4 strokes are twice the price and maintenance for 5% more performance.

400ex is def what i would buy if I was gonna get a quad, those things are fun!!
