Well guys and gals, I got the other head ported and on the block, along with the lower intake manifold. Im going to sandblast the SLP runners and polish them.

Bad news is that I started putting in my shift kit for the 700R4 and found out the front pump is ****ed up. So I pulled it off and found the bands were all junk. What a mess though.

We have a GM service replacement 700R4 out in the shed my dad is going to give me in return for some work on his hotrod, though, so that's cool.

I'd like too, but I just think a manual would be more of a pain in the ass then its worth.

                        And slower too

manuals are much more fun to rebuild... well i wouldnt call it fun... just way better than an auto 90% of the time i just find a new auto trans... i dont mind rebuilding a 350 or 400 but the 700r4 seen the inside to many times...lol from the factory one of the worst overdrive trans GM ever built... but if you toss like 100 bucks into them you can fix all the glitches... like that valve body...lol
