    Maybe...maybe not...

Do an oil change and find out what the condition is.

    There may still be options...

if you drain the oil you will see if its milky or not. If it is then you have a blown head gasket or cracked block.

It could be other things...main bearings starting to wear...etc...might not be dead yet...

if its milky jeff? not a good sign. especially with a loss of power. I don't think main bearing wearing creates a milky oil, it more metallic when you have bearing failure.

I'm just guessing there's a couple of things going on here...could be wrong...the coolant fluid could be a cause or a result of what's happening...

if you lose a head gasket, after over heating and there is oil in the coolant surge tank, then the oil on the dipstick will look like chocolate milk.. drain it.. sometimes the dipstick can be a bit deciving.. and the coolant will settle in the bottom.. and the dipstick won't reach it. loss of power sounds like a toasted head gasket or fuel lines.. check fuel lines first..

havnt really read the other postes, so they have prolly already went over this.. lol

first if your not wanting to dump tones of money into it instead of ripping the heads off and everything just toss some copper/aluminum rad sealent in it like 3-7 bucks a bottle it will flow through the system and seal any cracks and leaks for the most part... after this do an oil change within 50 miles or so because if its a bad leak that copper or aluminum could get into the oil and then cause havok on your internals... the milky looking oil is when the oil and coolant get mixed together from your rotating assembly... blends it all up makes it look a greenish white color.. the lighter the worse it is if its just a bit and not adding a quart of water each time you start up you should be able to get by... now before you do an oil change get some engine flush to add to the oil, you will have a build up of moisture and gelled up coolant chemicals on the internal parts and it will take more than one oil change to get it all out and you risk damaging any bearings or wearable parts untill you do get it out... still cheep fix engine flush is like 99 cents to 3 bucks a bottle...

so first add the copper/aluminum rad fix bottle into the rad.. let it run a good 15-20 minutes so it gets nice and warm

then add the engine flush to your oil again let the engine run a good 5 minutes or so but not too long this thins the oil alot and drys out bearings... pretty much just a mix of eaither and kerosene...

after thats all done drain the oil and replace with new filter "here is where you will see how bad the coolant leak is.. you will see the water first followed by the oil" if you count it out and reach hmm 10 11 12.. just walk away and keep counting before you break something..that bad of a coolant leak is usually fatal

drain the coolant and replace with new coolant...

its all cheep fixes but if it isnt a major problem ive had cars go another 30,000 miles with just that done to them

and you still need to replace that fuel filter lol you can get some replacement quick connect lines while you get the filter because they probably are old enough that they are going to bend or break off when you replace the filter...

your looking at maybe 50 bucks at autozone or murrays for all this stuff if you want some help not sure where your at but im between port huron and 23mile everyday now working midnights.. could get it all done pretty quick

ahh depending on the setup i can usually swap head gaskets get the intake and everything back on within a couple hours no charge dont worry... my record for pulling a sbc replacing the rotating assembly and getting in all back in was 3 hours and 45 minutes... but i was sore and had about 30 cuts on my hands from the rings and ring compressor..ha ha

the only thing you need to think about is if the heads are warped from the heat a new gasket might not help could still leak.. still you could use the cheep fix i mentioned to probably solve that too...
