  • What should I do?

Well I can't make up my mind on what I want to do. I wanted to restore my bird and put a 350 in it with some minor mods for now, but due to some family problems. The place I was gonna work on it at is probaly not gonna be available, plus no tools really. So then I was thinking how I really want t-tops and such as well. So what do you guys think I should do?

If you really want a 3rd gen, 350, and T-Tops, just go for it. It's your desicion as to how to come up with that end product, but you seem to know exactly what you want.

I think it'd be easiest to save for a little bit, sell your bird and get the exact car you want.... it will come up oneday, just have to wait for it!

Looks unanamous..sell it and get a V8 T top car! FI motor swaps are expensive and take a lot of time/effort to sort out all the wiring stuff. Even when you think you're doing it cheap it adds up quick. You'd spend less to sell your car and buy a V8 T top one, even if it does need some fixing up.

I agree with the fact that it is cheaper to just buy one that is kinda like what you want. But if you want to do one just like you want it will take some time and $$$,it's up to you. Good luck with the decision

The first Gen started it all!!!

Well once I get caught up on bills I'm gonna start saving up and once I get some money I'll start looking and put mine up for sale. For now I'll keep it so I still have a f-body, plus I need a car to drive.

Nothing Like an Fbody w/ ttops. And I hear a conversion on a 3rd gen involves cutting the roof off and welding a new one on.

But, there is a world of difference between a 2.8 and 350.
