    clutch question
my clitch is super stiff which on a person learning to drive a stick is very frustrating as my clutch likes to be to the floor. is there anyway to loosen it uup and not make it so picky?

    wiring questions?
i have a holley 4bbl on it right now it has the wiring for the electric choke and what not, emissions have been deleted and ac will be gone soon, how do i go about removing the old ecm and unneeded wiring and such?

secondly my rear hatch has the elecrtric pull down, now its different than my 92's the 92 was one big unit with an electric motor on the side this one has channels that it literaly pulls down or something but doesnt work whatsoever. can i swap to the newer style or how can i fix the old one, ive tried messing weith it with absolutely no luck.

So the clutch pedal sticks downwards (to the floor) ?

The ecm is more time consuming, unplug the ecm, then just follow the wires from the ecm connector, Either chop them if you never plan on reinstalling or tape them into the wire harness.

The hatch thing Id have to see in person unfortunately, I dont remember how it operates

the clutch is very very hard, after a 30 minute drive my leg is super sore, dont know if thats just a t5 thing but my friends firebird is nowhere near as stiff. and the clutch engages when the pedal is to the floor nowhere in between, its very picky. after your moving you can jab at the clutch hard and fast and quickly shift but if its not past half way-floor dont expect it to shift. its a nuisance and i wanted to know if i can adjust something so i dont have to travel the clutch so far for it to engage and what not, and if theres something i can easily change out to make the pedal less stiff.

didnt want to cut the wiring, ill remove it and save it if need be. but question was is the elctric choke and stuff part of the ecm wiring? i dont have emissions, just need the few connections on the holley and my sensors and id be happy. seems like theres alot more wiring than my 85 had.

ill take a picture of the hatch pull down.

It sounds like its a clutch thing, The pressure plate is the main thing with dealing with effort.

I took all the ecm stuff out of my caprice. I just used a keyed ignition wire in the das for my choke, thats all you need for it, so all the ecm stuff can go.

Ill look at the pic when you post it and see if I can help ya

you should just come over if your in the area and help me dewire lol. ive never attempted it, i took the harnesses out of my 85 but didnt pay attention as to if the sensors were included with the engine harness and what wres i needed for the carb so itll be a project.

lol, I will try to get a baby sitter and see if I can. The one thing ive done too is put in autometer gauges so the factory stuff could just go bye-bye

Hmmmmm...... Ok, if your gonna keep some of the factory stuff the ecm might have to stay. then you can just tie back the wires to stuff you dont need

maybe someone else might now. i kinda thought the sensors all went through the ecm but on the other hand they might not and i dont want to start tearing stuff out only to fin out i have to keep it.

Gauges do not operate through the ECM on third gens. IIRC some wires are in the same harness though. Holley electric choke just needs key on power, find a fused source.

Do you have a hydraulic or Z bar clutch? I forget when the changeover was.
