so so far ive come up with a list of parts as well as noticed some OCC inscriptions and names signed throughout the car, odd might have to do some more digging on that.

as far as what parts i need
a tire or a set of four tires and rims
both sides of the gfx on the sides
electric fans to get rid of the blade of death thats on there.
a fix to the auto draw rear hatch mechanism
get someone to weld up my exhaust and swap to my headers and all that.
fix ebrake cable(havent looked into it yet) the posi in the rear is worn out so im thinking the ebrakes might get fixed with a rear end swap with good posi and some better gears.

my budget currently is very limited, meaning if anyone has parts you need to get rid of ill take them is they are useable and ill owe you one type deal. if you need a helping hand when i see you then im there cause you helped me out. otherwise a few bucks here and there wont help. i have to take the yukon into the shop tomorrow because ive developed an oil leak that i cannot find.

dug out my old hatch louvers and rustless decklid yesterday so thatll go on soon.

also have a few new plans for the interior when i get around to it. theres alot of cracked, faded, torn up, spray painted plastics on this thing so im thinking of buying a couple yards of black vinyl from my old job, and having my neighbor do some work on seams and what not. gotta figure out the accent color though first for the stitching.
also i found out i have the 145 speedo, so ill keep those and make some guage rings at work for each pod of the original cluster. already swapped out the plastic as the one on the car was painted and mine is in nice shape from my old 85.

friday or sometime this coming weekend im hoping i can steal darren for a little wiring removal as the carb will stay until is do a 5.0lsx swap with the blower at work. thats my hopes and dreams, cash is the main issue for that atm. the 5 speed will stay, i promised my dad id learn one so i will and who knows i may end up liking it alot.

            5.0 lsx?

That 5 speed won't last behind any genIII engine if you get a somewhat sticky tire

Technically itd be about a 5.1l and I know the 5 speed won't so ill just pit the 400 behind it if the t5 blows ots nose on the pavement

I'm just curious how you're getting the displacement numbers I have an off the wall idea for my 5.3

In due time I'll spill the beans.

Never heard of a 311 lsx.

There are lots of ways to get odd displacement LS motors, one of the many wonders of this platform

Swap some cranks/rods/blocks and bingo bango! A new motor!

basically a 4.8 with 5.7 pistons makes 311. boss has a gt500 supercharger sitting at work that i found, he said he got it from his friend it was gonna go on his truck but it was a lease. i guess when you have connections its cool to get free stuff you dont use. so ima try to get that and maybe do a SC 311. but thats in the way future im happy with the 350 at the moment.

Assuming wrist pin heights are the same, you could use a 83mm crank/rods in a 99mm bore block and get a 312. Might be a bit of a dog at lower RPM. Boost would help, but it would make less power than it would with the original displacement...I've only seen one custom intake to bolt a M112 on an LS1. Not sure if a Maggie base would allow one to be bolted on.
