Leave the cruise. You'd miss that creature comfort.

I would also leave the A/C if it has one.

Remove the cat. All the AIR lines to go along with the pump being removed.

You can remove the big hideous smog pump in the serp setup then you need to run a smaller serp belt or a delete pulley. I ran a smaller belt on my camaro.

Air pump = smog pump. AIR is the lines that run into your exhaust manifolds. Looks like a big nasty mess of uselessness.

Once you take off those air lines do you just leave the holes open or empty afterwards? And any idea if theres some kind of diagram or picture so i take off the right ones or to show me what the smog pump is? I dont mean to sound dumb i just dont know what it is, im new to all this.

No, you'll have to weld them shut.

Here's an article for a serpentine-belt equipped Camaro, so it won't be the same, since you have V-belts, but it's similar enough.

Could just use a short bolt and loc-tite too, right?

this car doesnt have a cat, Kyle remove the air pump (smog pump) you'll need to close the air lines that are connected to the exhaust manifold, or just get some headers, also I didnt try to even use the cruise when I had your car, also I never even used or tried the A/C I always drove with the windows down and the t-tops off haha.
