Well today driving down a country road a car was coming and I went to go turn my brights off and they wouldn't turn off. Finally I figured out I had to tilt my wheel up two notches. Sometimes I can't get my turn signals to work either.I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and how do you fix it.

Uh oh...friend had the same issue. It sounds like the turn signal/wiper "stalk" is out of position. Usually happens if you let the steering wheel snap up, or by just heavy use. The only way i know of fixing it is by actually opening up the steering column and replacing the switch inside, or adjusting the small clips, which i DONT advise you to do unless you have the right tools, and experience. Ya dont wanna be out a turn signal and brights, if ya need um. But hey don't let me stop you! lol.Last edited by sping012; July 31st, 2006, 02:46 AM.

It's always a pain to take off the steering column, just take your time and try to remember where everything came from1996 CAMARO Z\28 M6

Getting a 4th gen won't fix that. . . I have the exact same problem with the brights, and when I turn on the left turn signal, I have to manually flip it back to the center position. . . Right t/s works fine, but the left, brights, and Cruise control don't work.Originally posted by 96mikez28get a 4th gen LMAO, J\K

thanks for posting up those links, but i don't think i'm going to install a floor dimmer, and my cruise control works just fine, I think when i go into work tomorrow after I get some r-12 to recharge my AC i'll talk to one of the techs and see if it would be something i could do without getting too pissed off.
